Rosette Nebula

5,200 light-years away, this large gas cloud spans the width of 5 full moons in the night sky. Too dim to see with the naked eye, this was taking in Phoenix, AZ using Hydrogen, Sulphur, and Oxygen narrowband filters to screen out the light pollution 349 10-minute exposures were used to create this integrated image of 58 hours of total time.
